Mathias comes from a sales background as a Key Account Manager. His current role is a specialist ‘hybrid’, working as both Account Manager and Business Creator.

High calibre of vendors

I was attracted to Westcon because of the calibre of vendors it partners with – leading names such as Palo Alto Networks, F5, Extreme Networks, Microsoft and Mitel.


A hybrid role

Because it’s a hybrid role I have the best of both worlds. As a Business Creator I’m tasked with finding and onboarding new partners, which is fast and fun. And as an Account Manager I build deeper, more long-term relationships with existing partners to help them grow and reach their goals.

The team is international and multicultural, which is really important to me. Everyone is willing to help you in your day-to-day job and to develop further. You can fulfil your potential and succeed here, not least because of the quality of the vendors in our portfolio. We’re well supported by the business and it does everything to make sure that we have enough training, support and resource to do our jobs.


No two days are the same

But every day can be a good day if you onboard a new reseller or make a partner happy. Or when I can make the lives of my team easier by sharing my knowledge and tips I’ve learned along the way.
