In his role managing the sales operations team in the Middle East, Yatish works with partners to understand their business needs and demonstrate what we have to offer.

Exploring opportunities

I started at Westcon-Comstor in 2014 after graduating from business school. My journey began with an internship supporting the Middle East purchasing team. Thanks to my manager, a number of opportunities came my way and since then I have explored and worked in three disciplines – demand planning, supply planning and order management – supporting seven different projects. Today I manage the Sales Operations team in the Middle East.

 

Customer experience

As part of my role as a Sales Operations Manager I enjoy meeting customers to understand their business needs and explain to them what we offer. My team’s support for customers, proven with excellent customer scores and feedback, gives me a sense of pride in my team. I am passionate about making it easier for customers to do business with us though PartnerView, our integrated e-commerce platform. I get a great deal of satisfaction with every successful PartnerView training and onboarding.

Making connections

With more than nine nationalities working in our office, Westcon-Comstor is truly international. I am exposed to different cultures and traditions and that is how we build connections in this part of the world.

 

Team spirit

As challenging as the month-end gets, we support each other and work in synergy. I truly feel our employees love what they do, as I have never seen a happier workplace. Managers are very supportive and any additional efforts to support business are always appreciated and recognised.

 

Local initiatives

We have many local initiatives here, but my two favourites are the Low Plastic Initiative, designed to reduce single-use plastics in the office, and Ice-Cream Thursdays.
