TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Feb. 22, 2016 – Westcon-Comstor’s Steve Garrou, executive vice president of corporate strategy and solutions development, and Lynn Murphy, executive vice president, North America, have been named to CRN’s 2016 Channel Chiefs list by The Channel Company. The prestigious annual list represents top leaders in the IT channel who excel at driving growth and revenue in their organizations through channel partners.

The Channel Company’s editorial staff selects CRN Channel Chiefs based on their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community and strategies for driving future growth and innovation.

Garrou and Murphy each have demonstrated loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs, according to The Channel Company.

Industry Leaders Recognized for Transforming Distributor

Garrou leads the company’s cloud and data center businesses – as well as all branding, strategy and investment activity. He is responsible for new solutions development, including the integration of new technologies and businesses, and the transformation of Westcon-Comstor into a digital logistics powerhouse. Under his leadership, Westcon-Comstor is building the programs and initiatives that help partners migrate from selling traditional IT products to innovative digital-based solutions leveraging cloud and other modern technologies. In addition, the company is also investing in and developing new platforms, services and solutions for cloud, mobility and Internet of Things (IoT).

Murphy is responsible for the development and execution of both business strategy and performance across North America and has helped to solidify Westcon-Comstor’s strategic priorities around security, UCC, networking, data center, cloud, global deployment and services. The North America business experienced double-digit growth last year, and Murphy led initiatives to build a winning culture, invest in people skills and maximize efficiency – all of which helped the company improve customer and partner experiences.

"We are honored to present the 2016 lineup of CRN Channel Chiefs, comprised of outstanding executives who move our entire industry forward by cultivating exemplary partner programs and executing cutting-edge business strategy,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “They represent an extraordinary group of individuals who lead by example and serve as both invaluable advocates and innovators of the IT channel.
