TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Aug. 30, 2016 – Westcon-Comstor Executive Vice President of North America Andrew Warren was recognized by CRN as one of this year’s 100 People You Don’t Know But Should. The annual listing honors technology vendor and distribution leaders who have worked tirelessly to create, promote and manage programs and policies that support and advance the IT channel. CRN editorial team members make their selections for this list based on feedback from solution providers and other industry executives.
In August Warren was promoted to executive vice president, North America, responsible for driving the company’s U.S. and Canadian operations. With the promotion he also became the value-added distributor’s newest member of its Executive Leadership Team where he helps shape the company’s future. Previously, Warren led the company’s fast-growing Westcon-Comstor Security Solutions Practice.
Under his direction the security solutions practice grew from $275 million to more than $1 billion in sales and today represents more than half of Westcon-Comstor’s North American business. Over the past months Warren also assumed leadership responsibility for Comstor US, the Cisco Systems-solutions focused division of the company. Warren began his career with Westcon-Comstor in 2010.
“There are a number of people who work behind the scenes in the channel whose efforts do not often receive widespread attention, although they truly help to hold up the entire industry and make it the thriving, smoothly functioning ecosystem that it is,” said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. “We are pleased to shine a spotlight on these individuals with CRN’s 2016 list of 100 People You Don’t Know But Should list and to honor their important work, which quietly underpins the infrastructure of the IT channel and allows the community to advance as a whole.”
The 2016 list of 100 People You Don’t Know But Should will be featured in the October issue of CRN and can be viewed online at www.crn.com/100people.
