Westcon-Comstor promotes Maurizio Lavagna to Southern Europe sales leadership role
Experienced leader to drive sales execution under unified European operating model
Athens, Greece – May, 2026 – Westcon-Comstor, a global technology distributor specialising in cybersecurity, networking and hybrid cloud solutions, today announced the promotion of Maurizio Lavagna to the role of Vice President of Regional Sales, Southern Europe, as part of its Future Ready execution model designed to simplify and harmonise how partners and vendors across Europe engage, collaborate and grow .
Based in Milan, Italy, Maurizio’s elevation to the newly created position marks the latest chapter in his career at Westcon-Comstor. He joined the company in 2012 and has occupied numerous senior roles within the region, most recently serving as Managing Director, Southern Europe.
The promotion reflects a broader shift in how Westcon-Comstor is reshaping its offering and go-to-market strategy across Europe to meet the changing needs of partners and vendors in the era of platforms, marketplaces and ecosystems.
By evolving its sales operating model, the company is scaling what works and building a future-ready foundation in which it serves as a hub that wraps vendor solutions with data-driven, value-added services – empowering partners to build repeatable, modular offerings that drive revenue throughout the lifecycle, from new logo acquisition to expansion and renewals.
Maurizio will lead an invigorated and integrated regional sales operation that brings Westcon and Comstor teams together in a single structure, in line with broader moves to unify the distributor’s European sales organisation under a single operating model and platform.
Designed for scalability, the integrated model provides seamless, end‑to‑end coverage across the region, supporting partners from the largest strategic accounts to the smallest emerging players.
It ensures a consistent experience across technologies, geographies and routes to market, with clear ownership, coordinated coverage and improved visibility of opportunities, while retaining the flexibility to support both local needs and complex, multi‑country engagements.
Dedicated sales teams, aligned by region and market focus, will work closely with vendors to accelerate growth, deepen market penetration and ensure consistent execution. This reinforced approach ensures Westcon‑Comstor’s leading vendors are supported by teams focused on their long‑term success.
The unified sales model represents the most significant step to date in Westcon-Comstor’s reinvigoration of its European go-to-market approach, following last year’s appointment of Stéphane Reboud as Senior Vice President Sales, Europe, to whom Maurizio will report.
