As a leading specialist technology distributor with operations across the globe, Westcon-Comstor is closely monitoring developments related to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the potential implications for our partners, vendors and supply chain operations.

The safety and wellbeing of our people and partners remains our highest priority. At the same time, we are focused on maintaining continuity of service and supporting partners across our operations during this period of uncertainty.  

Our teams in the region remain fully operational but the current conditions are creating disruption across parts of the global logistics network.

This is affecting transit times and, in some cases, leading to increased freight and fuel costs. We are actively reviewing the situation and are committed to providing clear and transparent updates to our partners when necessary.

 

How we are responding

In response to the situation, we are taking the following actions to support our vendors and channel partners globally to minimise disruption:

  • Closely monitoring lead times and inventory positions and working in collaboration with vendors, market analysts and logistics partners to anticipate and respond to changes as early as possible.
  • Adjusting stocking profiles and order planning where appropriate to help protect availability and mitigate potential supply impacts.
  • Reviewing regional routing options and logistics scenarios to maintain stability across our network and continuity of supply.

Distribution plays a critical role in helping the IT channel navigate periods of uncertainty. At Westcon-Comstor, we remain committed to supporting our partners through open communication, careful planning and responsible supply chain management. We will continue to keep partners informed as the situation evolves and remain focused on delivering stability, reliability and support during this challenging period.
