FIRE and ICE turns up the heat

March 2024 saw the culmination of the UK channel’s most exciting incentive.

FIRE & ICE is Westcon’s UK partner incentive, testing partners’ metal against one another for sales superiority and a once in a lifetime reward.

Returning for its second year, FIRE & ICE rewarded Westcon’s 14 top partner sellers with an inspirational trip to ICELAND, for snowy sensations and volcanic vistas. The 5-month incentive measured revenue and pipeline growth across all technology sales, plus gave 6 ‘Elite Seats’ for speciality vendors with their own growth goals.

The 2023/24 incentive saw 55 partners go to battle against personal growth targets on cyber security, networking, UC cloud and services sales. Combined, participating partners grew revenues an amazing 112% year-on-year, but the top performing winners smashed expectations achieving 332%!

Elite Seat vendors 8x8, Avaya, Check Point, CrowdStrike, Extreme Networks and Palo Alto Networks all exceeded expectations in their respective goals too.

Deserving winners for 2023/24:

Blackstar solutions, CDW, Charterhouse Voice & Data, Cisilion, Communicate Technology, Convergence Group, Core 2 Cloud, Direct Voice & Data, FourNet, Kaptec, Maintel, SEP2, TET and Ultima.

Winning partners then had the difficult task of nominating their top contributors to take the VIP ticket for an all-inclusive activity weekend to Reykjavik, Iceland. Attendees were a diverse mix of new talent, experienced salespeople and partner management.

The trip kicked off with a fascinating trip underground into one of Iceland’s many lava tunnels, followed by a luxurious geothermal spa treatment at Sky Lagoon. Next was a full day climbing to the height of Iceland’s Langjökull glacier to watch geysers, race snowmobiles and enjoy a sensational al fresco buffet in the snow-topped mountains. The last day headed to the coast for quad biking on Iceland’s volcanic black sand beaches.

The action-packed itinerary was complemented by top class restaurants and networking with peers from other partners, guest vendors and Westcon leadership teams. If that wasn’t enough, there were also glimpses of the 16th March eruption on the Reykjanes peninsula, lighting up the night sky with a volcanic red glow!

After a successful incentive and inspiring winners trip, attention turns to next year’s plans. It will be tough to beat FIRE and ICE but rest assured we have our thinking caps on and a new incentive will be announced this summer. Make sure you follow Westcon Europe for your chance in 2025!
