New partnership expands data centre offerings, empowering resellers with hybrid multi-cloud solutions and greater flexibility in a changing virtualisation landscape

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND – 5 November 2025 – Westcon-Comstor, a global technology provider and specialist distributor, today announced that it will be an authorised distributor for Nutanix across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. This strategic partnership enhances Westcon-Comstor’s data centre portfolio, offering partners greater choice and value in hybrid cloud and modern workloads at a time when flexibility, scalability, and simplicity are more critical than ever.

Nutanix, a leader in hybrid multi-cloud computing, joins Comstor’s existing vendor ecosystem alongside Cisco Systems, Pure Storage, and Splunk. Together, these solutions provide a compelling multivendor landscape for managed services providers and cloud resellers navigating the evolving virtualisation and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) space.

“As hybrid cloud continues to evolve, combined with AI driving more investment in this space, we are seeing partners wanting to provide flexible infrastructure solutions as their customers reassess their technology strategies,” said Dave Rosenberg, Managing Director, Westcon-Comstor, New Zealand. “Our agreement with Nutanix ensures our partners have access to expert guidance and flexible solutions that support their business models and customer needs. Nutanix’s platform adds to our growing portfolio of hybrid infrastructure solutions and aligns with our vision to deliver future-ready solutions..”

Comstor brings deep expertise in data centre-centric solutions including packaged services such as prebuilt servers, FlashStack deployments, and onsite installations, allowing partners to focus on strategic project delivery rather than implementation logistics.

Westcon-Comstor’s multivendor approach also integrates leading technologies from VMware by Broadcom and Cohesity, delivering a complete end-to-end data centre offering.

Partners evaluating Nutanix software or broader infrastructure solutions spanning hypervisor, compute, networking, storage, and data protection can access support through Westcon-Comstor. This approach is designed to simplify deployment and align with individual business and technical requirements.

In addition to deployment support, Westcon-Comstor will offer dedicated enablement programs, technical training, and go-to-market support to help partners build and scale their Nutanix practice.

Nutanix’s hybrid multi-cloud platform enables organisations to run applications and store data anywhere: on-premises, in co-location data centres, or across hyperscale cloud providers. By simplifying infrastructure management and enhancing data resilience, Nutanix empowers users to reduce complexity, manage costs, and increase operational flexibility.

This distribution agreement marks a significant step forward for both companies and the broader IT industry in New Zealand, reinforcing Westcon-Comstor’s commitment to delivering innovative, future-ready solutions to its partner ecosystem.
