Certification highlights Westcon-Comstor’s commitment to attracting and retaining talent in New Zealand's competitive market

AUCKLAND, New Zealand – 15 July, 2026 – Westcon-Comstor, a global technology distributor specialising in cybersecurity, networking and hybrid cloud solutions, highlights its recent Great Place To Work® certification in New Zealand, as new insights underscore the strength of its local culture and employee experience.

The latest annual Great Place To Work® survey results was announced earlier this month, with employees praising the company’s trusted, values-led leadership and focus on inclusion as it achieved certification in New Zealand and 24 other countries.  

Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture and employee experience. Certification is based on confidential feedback from employees about their experience of working at an organisation. 

In New Zealand, where skills shortages and employee retention remain key challenges for the technology sector, Westcon-Comstor maintains a focus on initiatives that support engagement, recognition and career development, contributing to a culture where employees feel valued, supported and connected. 

These include leadership development, structured career pathways, flexible working arrangements, and programmes designed to recognise and reward performance and contribution. 

New Zealand maintained strong scores across key culture indicators, particularly in areas relating to colleague support, inclusion and onboarding experience. These results demonstrate a consistently positive workplace environment and provide a solid foundation for continued employee engagement and service excellence for partners and customers. 

Globally, 80% of employees said Westcon-Comstor is a great place to work and the company achieved a Trust Index™ of 77%, mirroring last year’s results. 

This people-first approach plays a direct role in supporting Westcon-Comstor’s partners and customers. Engaged and motivated teams are better equipped to deliver consistent service excellence, deeper technical expertise and stronger long-term relationships, ultimately helping partners grow and succeed in an evolving market.

Global results also highlighted that more than 90% of employees said they are treated fairly at work , with 89% being made to feel welcome when they joined and able to take time off when necessary. Meanwhile 85% of respondents feel proud to tell other people that they work for the company.

These results contributed to a leadership effectiveness index of 78%.
