Westcon-Comstor launches Balkans business through REAL Security integration
Milestone is marked at RISK Conference 2026 and follows the recent acquisition of REAL Security
LONDON, UK – 10 June, 2026 – Westcon-Comstor, a global technology distributor specialising in cybersecurity, networking and hybrid cloud solutions, today announced the launch of Westcon-Comstor Balkans through the integration of REAL Security into its business.
Westcon-Comstor’s acquisition of specialist cybersecurity distributor REAL Security earlier this year marked its entry into the Balkans, and this next step brings the team’s established market presence, trusted relationships and deep regional expertise into the wider Westcon-Comstor organisation.
The launch expands Westcon-Comstor’s reach in a strategically important cybersecurity market and strengthens its ability to support partners and vendors across eight countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Albania and North Macedonia.
REAL Security, founded in Maribor, Slovenia in 2002, has built a strong position in the Balkans through technical expertise, industry knowledge and long-standing relationships across the regional channel ecosystem.
By bringing REAL Security fully into its business, Westcon-Comstor is combining local insight and in-market capability with the scale, portfolio breadth and data-driven capabilities of its global operation.
The result is a stronger platform for partner enablement, vendor growth and technical support across the Balkans, while maintaining the local understanding and proximity that have been central to REAL Security’s success.
The news was announced today at RISK Conference 2026, the leading regional cybersecurity event run by REAL Security and now in its twentieth year. Taking place in Slovenia, the conference brings together industry professionals, channel partners and technology leaders from across the region for expert-led sessions, demonstrations and discussion on the trends and threats shaping cybersecurity today.
The launch of Westcon-Comstor Balkans reflects the distributor’s broader strategy of combining global scale with strong local execution. It also builds on REAL Security’s proven track record in connecting major and emerging vendors with value-added resellers, managed service providers and managed security service providers across the region.
As part of the integration, Renato Uhl, CEO and Co-Founder at REAL Security, becomes Managing Director, Westcon-Comstor Balkans and will report to René Klein, Executive Vice President, Europe at Westcon-Comstor.
